You said it, George.
Former President George W. Bush apparently gave a brief but poignant assessment of President Trump’s inauguration speech as he was leaving the Capitol on Jan. 20, according to a report.
“That was some weird s–t,” Bush said after leaving the dais, according to three people who spoke to New York Magazine on Wednesday.
A Bush representative did not immediately return a request for comment from the Daily News.
The speech itself wasn’t the only weirdness that Bush endured at Trump’s inauguration.
The former President also had a well-documented tussle with his rain poncho as dark clouds loomed over Washington, D.C. The poncho debacle spurred a social media firestorm and countless memorable memes.
Bush, who was a target of Trump’s many campaign outbursts, declined to give public comment immediately after the inauguration and has remained relatively mum on the new administration.
